Having recently finished a PhD, I had applied for many, many positions independently and registered with a number of employment agencies. After picking up my CV, Laboratory Solutions Recruitment were quick to contact me and talk me through a potential position, and briefed me by phone before my first phone interview proper with the Biotech company itself.
This was already more input than I’d received from other recruitment agencies.
